  1. I don't know Kelly, in our rule book of successful camping trips, if you don't make at least one trip to the local Wal-Mart, then it just ain't so.... Now granted, this is a NC rule book that I am reading from, and we all know that I will be called out by a certain person on this... I will just go over there and wait for him to stroll along...
  2. Okay, Nacole, we're not really interested in seeing pictures of food, or the kids, or the DH's hat...uhhh okay, we do like to see pics of the kids, you can leave those... HOWEVER, what we really want to see are pictures of your sewer hookup, your water regulator, how you had the trailer connected to the tow vehicle, what flavor of air freshener you used to remove that trailer smell... We also want to see pictures of the clothesline and how you had it affixed to the nearby trees, how you contained your trash, and if you liked paper or plastic plates... :rofl2: I'm just messin' with ya!
  3. I can't let this picture go by without a comment... Now we all know that Z is and will always be "The Man", but if I were to provide a caption for this picture, it would read: "I bet you can't guess what I doing now...?"
  4. And your point is...? There are only 3 primary colors, so we are "golden"... Red, Blue and Green, so we have 2 numbers to spare. Everyone knows any particular choice for a given set of primary colors is derived from the spectral sensitivity of each of the human cone photoreceptors; three colors that fall within each of the sensitivity ranges of each of the human cone cells are red, green, and blue. Other sets of colors can be used, though not all will well approximate the full range of color perception. For example, an early color photographic process, autochrome, typically used orange, gree
  5. I think I saw this same picture in a paint by numbers set at a craft store in NORTH CAROLINA.....
  6. Lovin' me some lake trip report! Spent about 15 years in the waters of Smith Mountain Lake in VA... until my 2nd parents sold their house and "water toys" there several years ago... Those campsites are AWESOME!

  8. Gwen, Me and Sweet Romina will be down 10/13 thru 10/19... Ashleigh will fly down for her first Fall Break at UNC-CH... We look forward to seeing you again!
  9. TCD has a thing for light fixtures and girls from Nepal!
  10. The girls in Nepal really wear short shorts....!
  11. It's none of the above.... It's the MAN-VAN!!
  12. I really don't know what defines the term "oldish", but I do hit the half century mark this Tuesday... I thought to myself when I posted that comment, I wonder how many folks will wonder what I was even talking about....
  13. Kelly, I too concur with you on Topsail and the Fort being my two most favorite campgrounds... I would much rather drive the 12 hours from NC to Topsail for beach camping than travel 2 hrs from my house to the NC beaches.... There is absolutely no comparison!
  14. I'm sure if you are polite enough, Lou will loan you his Brownie camera....
  15. This may clear up some to the questions as to the dragon and bird people in the FOF parade.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGUGAwNN4Hs
  16. I am really surprised that this crowd can't see the theme going on here.... It's very plain to see that Disney is going for the Mad Maleficent Beyond Thunderdome with a Fantasia 2000 Twist presented by Pink Floyd sponsored by Starbucks...
  17. Not sure what number I will be, but I do know that in the "history of Duane" I made it to the first page of a trip report! I can lay down and die now!
  18. You will find in your new "camping life" that a camping trip is just not successful without at least one trip to the local Wal-Mart.... And depending on the area of this great country you travel, the local Wal-Mart is a tourist attraction itself.... People watching at its best!
  19. What I really want to know is what time is late check in and early check out....
  20. I'm with Andrew on not doing excursions, or even getting off the ship at port cities. I would be just as happy to have mostly "at sea" days and a couple of stops at the ship's private island. We have only done DCL cruises and one cruise back in the day when it was The Big Red Boat... So a couple of days at Castaway Cay and all days at sea are fine with me... However, it does cut down on the crowd when the ship does stop somewhere and all of the other cruisers get off. It opens up more for me on the ship.
  21. Sister Kelly, I come before you for I have sinned... I have been reading but not commenting... Please forgive me... Since I am partially brain dead, but I could have sworn that when we went to the Cayman's several years ago on DCL, the ship pulled up to the dock and tenders were not used.... but I could have been wrong Were there other ships that were allowed to dock?
  22. We have used Odor-los for several years... You can get it at Campingworld again... for a while, they stopped carrying it. Even when they stopped carrying it I would go to the boating store like West Marine to buy it.... We have used it with success in some of the hottest summers in Florida with great results...
  23. I'm getting ready to sign up for this as well... for as much as I fly and for all of the crap that carry, it will be well worth the fee and 2 1/2 to 3 hr drive that I have to travel to get certified.... One would think that in the Raleigh/Durham area that there would be a place closer than Wilmington or Morehead City to get checked.... Oh well, I love to drive and it will be a good "mind clearing" trip...
  24. Also don't forget to check the tightness of the lug nuts.... you would be surprised how they can loosen over time...
  25. i would like to think so, but in my mind, probably not....
