  1. We arrived at 10:00 last Saturday and the guy told us what sites were available, we picked one, and were all set-up and headed to the parks by 11:30. The first time we've ever gotten a choice.
  2. We've stayed in 500, 1400, and 600 500 was ok and our first time at the fort. We really liked 1400 (we had site 1431) as it was close to the meadows/pool - this has been our favorite so far. We disliked 600 -
  3. We were there 2 weeks ago(right after Matthew), and they were horrible. I have not ever had a problem with mosquitoes there, but this time they were bad.
  4. Nope - we just upgraded last week, so we already had bands - I will go order those "free" ones - thanks for the tip!
  5. We actually purchased Annual Passes this year. I was wondering about the AP magic band slide, and the the magnets - I see the magnets a lot, and the magic band slide I saw while we were there, and wondered if that was something we could purchase, or do they send it to us? And, can you buy the passholder merchandise online or do you have to purchase it at Disney in one of the stores? Sorry - new to all of this..

  7. I just spoke with Guest Services - they are planning on having the Fort reopen sometime tomorrow (Saturday 10/8) but he said that is still not definite as they are still under a warning until 8 tonight.
  8. thanks!!! We plan on enjoying it very much - even though I've lost some fast passes - maybe I can convince a CM to give me a couple for the safari ride at AK :) it has been a rough month for us, and we are so looking forward to this.
  9. We were supposed to arrive on Saturday. I saw it posted somewhere where the fort would be closed thru Sunday - I called to see what my options were, and I was told they could move us to a Monday check in as the Fort would not be allowing check-ins until Monday. I wasn't given any other option, so we are checking in on Monday. Having to redo fast passes really stinks - all the good ones are gone. And after 6 hours on hold and getting it all rescheduled , I received an email saying the Fort would only be closed through Friday (10/7)...so I have no idea when they will be open. I think th

  11. I just ended a phone conversation with a cast member who informed me that as of this moment, there will be no check-ins at the Fort until Monday. That it could change, depending on the storm...could be closed longer, or could open sooner. We can cancel our plans w/o penalty or they can modify our stay to make it longer - sadly, after waiting 1.5 hours to talk to him, I couldn't give him an answer as we are traveling with others, and we have to figure out what we are going to do. I am so bummed

  13. I knew I had read an explanation somewhere, but couldn't remember where. Makes me wonder what October is really going to be like.
  14. Most of the time, I go with easywdw . He is pretty spot on. However, I read somewhere (forgive, me I can't remember where) that they were all having trouble predicting this year.

  16. I agree - We were not impressed with Nassau. We skipped Senor Frogs - we just wanted back on the ship!
