  2. Does this mean DIT will soon be back at the Fort? I mean those extra swings MUST be meant to lure SOMEONE in.

  4. Umm.....I am new here, so excited to be planning a trip to the Fort in November, first time EVER Disney trip for my daughter, SIL, and three grandboys. This is my first post response, I know it seems to be an older post, but I live on Chincoteague Island and work on the wildlife refuge. The ponies on Assateague,Virginia side, are wild ponies. These are the ponies made famous in Marguerite Henry's children's books, Misty of Chincoteague, Stormy of Chincoteague, and Sea Star, Orphan of Chincoteague. The management techniques used by the National Park Service in Maryland are very dif

  6. Looks like a good idea if you are stuck out on an open plain. If you are in the woods the bigger threat in a tent is falling trees or branches. Maybe if they modified the design slightly to protect against all of the effects of a thunderstorm. Make the sides out of hard shiny aluminum, round off the top so that rain and debris slide right off, and put a set of wheels under it so you can move it to the perfect spot. Oh, wait...... uh nevermind

  7. It's also a slower time of year and they have drilled into everyone the need for ADRs. Especially in the parks unless there was a big sign out in front saying "no ADR needed" I'd probably walk on by thinking I would never get in. I hope it works out and they keep it off the ADR list, if they had at least one sit down restaurant at each park for us nonplanners would be great! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  10. This is a great fire pit that folds down to almost nothing. We love it at the Fort. I'm pretty sure I paid less than $100 for it though. http://www.amazon.com/Masterbuilt-GMFP20-Grizzly-Portable-Fireplace/dp/B000FF8PQ6/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1454735600&sr=8-14&keywords=fire+pit+with+top+grill

  11. I know we.missed some since they are well hidden and vegetation does appear to be part of the placement. So far 42 poles, some wired some not. Also I don't think they are done with poles. Didn't find any in 100 or 1700. I am wondering if they will also utilize CS roofs, but of course that would be a logical decision.

  12. As of January 31, 2016, there is still just one baby swing on that the swing-set for the enjoyment of all the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground guests: But please be patient, it is very complicated hanging up pieces of chain and plastic. I heard they have brought in the Imagineers who got all of New Fatasyland built in just four years, so it shouldn't be more than another year or two to get the swings hung back up. TCD
