Hello everyone! I know I said I wasn't going to do a trip report from our last trip way back in November but I was missing the Disney World this morning and I saw there was some interest in pictures of our little guy so I decided I would post a non-trip report. During our Thanksgiving trip we realized that most pictures had our son in them so my wife started saying "Where in the World is W...." with every picture she'd take, so on that note I thought that would be perfect way for my lazy self to post some of our pictures. I'll try to keep them in order, and if you want I'll give time to
Hi guys, my new article in the series I'm writing about Fort Wilderness just came out this morning. This time I'm writing about River Country, Disney's first water park. I'm sure some of you remember it well. I used to love going there when I was a teen. Here's the article if you'd like to check it out: http://www.mouseplanet.com/10944/Loving_the_Great_Outdoors_the_Disney_Way__River_Country_Disneys_First_Water_Park
And so you know, I cover some of these things (like the Fort's long gone RailRoad) over on the podcast as well. You can find it at WDWmousenger.com or on iTunes and stitcher.
Thanks, guys! I'm thinking of writing about Discovery Island next. The more I keep researching, and I'm only writing a fraction, has me considering writing the book about the Fort more seriously. There's a lot of fascinating stories. I have an interested publisher.
That looks like it was a blast. In the video, some hater blurred the beautiful logo on the dad's hoodie. You can still see it in the still photo, but I'll bet that is going to be pulled down soon. Here it is: Go Gata. TCD
The closing of property control and cast connection is to move the cast entrance off of Reams Rd to that area; replacing Center Drive with parking spots. The intersection of Reams Road and Center Drive is always a mess, and too close to a curve in Reams Rd for a traffic light. Relocating it further down will be safer. Last day for property control and Cast Connection is February 20th; and they will be closed around 3 weeks. This has nothing to do with a north entrance.
Get ready for construction "as far as the eye can see..." Not only the crane and the hat, but the central plaza is boarded up all around, including the Walt and Mickey statue, construction on Main Street, the dinning room in the castle, the central section of AK, and the least noticeable, Maelstrom boarded up.
Hello! And Thank You! I am a long time lurker (thanks to all of you that post) and this thread is what pushed me to join. Something about the power of saving money! Thank you Carol for posting this information. Myself, my daughter and my mom were all able to use this method and reap the rewards of saving $! We traveled to the world on January 7th 2015 with our UT tickets purchased and in our MDE accounts. We went into the MK that night and AK the next morning. We were staying at the Poly for this trip so it was easy for me to go to the TTC to attempt the AP bridged upgrade. I had to
Valentine's Day is almost here, and I let Jason know that he didn't have to think about what romantic present he was going to surprise me with... he was going to build me a Mickey light! I looked at the plans here on Fort Fiends and ordered most of the parts online through Home Depot. I got the ABS post at Lowe's because our Home Depot doesn't carry black pipe. I also ordered a color changing (remote controlled) light on Amazon. We decided to go with the 8 inch ears. Honestly, I think the 6 inch look a little small and the 8 inch look a little big, but whatever! This is the tool
