Every time we go to Disney, my wife gives me ten dollars spending money. Last trip I ate better than any meal plan, drank as much booze as I could hold, swam at nearly every pool, snagged some sweet souvenirs and left with the same ten bucks. I apologize if any of the campsites I raided belonged to any fiends.
So as many times as we have been to WDW, there are very few firsts left.....but today I checked in to two different WDW resorts IN ONE DAY and slept in both of them! Explanation: Yesterday we drove through the day from Pa and were planning to stop short for the night an not check in for our resv at Wilderness Lodge until today (Thursday). Instead everyone got excited to get there and decided to push on. So we called Disney and reserved a room at Pop Century for the night (cheapo). Checked in at 1am and slept a few hours before heading to check in at Wilderness Lodge. 2 different resorts ---
We could be living at the FORT 24/7. Just saw a guy collecting the aluminum cans out of the recycling bins. I should have thought of that and we could live here "for almost" nothing. :)
I have not heard mention of this yet. Title says it all. Celebrate the cultures of the world during the new IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party, beginning March 15. The party will include international desserts and sparkling wines in an intimate, exclusive setting with a clear view of the World Showcase Lagoon for the Epcot nighttime fireworks spectacular, IllumNations: Reflections of Earth. Celebration takes place Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings 7:45pm - 9:20pm at Epcot World Showcase Plaza. Cost will be $49 for adults and $29 for children.
Well, it not a rumor any more. They will meet at Fairytale hall starting Apr 20. They will not meet all day, only appearing until "early evening". Then other princesses will come out and meet. Its as official as it gets.
The good news, is you have almost a year to figure out a new strategy. I am hoping by then that there will be plenty of FP+ strategies that you can use. I have some theories I'm working on already. Don't worry, I'll share. TCD
So my first thought upon seeing this picture was that I was going to post and say something like "not only do I know who's site that is, I have a picture of myself with that Snow White cutout!" But....I can't honestly say that. Because here is the picture of myself I was referring to, taken at the Defeated Creek GG two years ago. And what do you notice about the Snow White cutout I'm posing with? It's a different one than the one in TCD's photo. Which means that Grumpy Dave owns at least TWO Snow White cutout. And y'all think I have a problem with her?
Update time. We are still on the dam bridge. This is the metal box that the new Property of the US Government decal is on: As you can see, it is securely locked. After all these years of posting photos of this equipment, no one has ever posted a plausible explanation of what it is and why it's here. I've posted photos of this metal pilgrim hat before: I don't think it's really a metal pilgrim hat. It must have some purpose. But what? The dam looks pretty dam good with its new dam paint job and all: I guess somebody got paid to put that dam sod down there on the bank
I, like Seals, am pretty far from retirement but it is still pretty fun to think about. We had noticed a few sites being the same from year to year and thought maybe it was a cast member spot or maybe the campground manager or something so we asked at the buffet one night and the waiter told us it was just a year round camper. At that point, my mind went right to.......THAT IS MY GOAL! On a side note, I believe when we started remembering some of the more tenured wait staff's names and specific campers and sites from year to year is when I felt like I should be part of some Fort Wilderness
